About the Team

The Software Engineering team in Switzerland is instrumental in developing and maintaining critical internal platforms that underpin bloomie's core business functions. This team is currently focused on enhancing our proprietary data analytics engine and integrating new security protocols across our internal network infrastructure. The business justification for this role stems from the need to accelerate the development roadmap for our next-generation internal tooling, ensuring seamless operation and scalability for our expanding global user base.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable software solutions for internal enterprise applications, adhering to bloomie's architectural standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, including Product Management, QA, and Operations, to define requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to internal coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues within existing internal systems, providing timely resolutions and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive internal documentation for software designs, features, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
• Experience with internal software development lifecycles and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced internal development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in an internal context.
• Familiarity with bloomie's internal CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Experience with database technologies, both relational and NoSQL, used within our internal systems.
• Knowledge of internal security best practices and experience implementing secure coding principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within diverse internal teams.
